A Pro Bono, Public-Interest pro-bono Governance & Compliance Clinic
The Bio-Cybersecurity & International Governance (BIG) Clinic Foundation is a nonprofit, pro bono, public-interest legal and governance clinic operating under the regulatory framework of the Law Society of British Columbia, Canada. The Clinic is dedicated to advancing ethical AI governance, bio-cybersecurity, digital safety, data protection, and international regulatory alignment in the public interest.
BiG operates under the humanitarian governance of Universal Humanity Foundation (UHF) Canada and works in alignment with UHF Global Institute (UGI) Canada and the UHF Global Affiliated Partnership (UGAP™) ecosystem. Through this collaborative model, the Clinic supports institutions, innovators, educators, nonprofit organizations, and humanitarian actors worldwide in navigating complex legal, ethical, and governance challenges associated with emerging technologies.
The Clinic’s work is grounded in the principles of human dignity and human security, the rule of law and ethical governance, and responsible innovation and digital safety.
BiG provides pro-bono legal information, governance frameworks, policy guidance, and compliance-oriented support for public-interest initiatives. It does not operate as a commercial law firm, does not provide fee-based legal services, and does not engage in marketing, advocacy, or lobbying activities.
