Cybersecurity & International Governance (BIG) Clinic Foundation

A Pro Bono, Public-Interest Governance Clinic under BC Society, Canada

The Bio-Cybersecurity & International Governance (BIG) Clinic Foundation is a nonprofit, pro bono legal and governance platform dedicated to advancing ethical artificial intelligence, bio cyber security, digital safety, data protection, and international regulatory alignment. Operating under the humanitarian governance of Universal Humanity Foundation (UHF) Canada, and aligned with Universal Global Institute (UGI) Canada and the UHF Global Affiliated Partnership (UGAP™) ecosystem, BiG supports institutions, innovators, educators, and humanitarian actors across jurisdictions.

BiG was established to address the growing gap between rapid technological advancement and the legal, ethical, and governance frameworks required to protect human dignity, public trust, and global stability. Our work is grounded in three core principles: human dignity and human security, rule of law and ethical governance, and responsible innovation with digital safety at its core.

What We Do

BiG provides public-interest pro-bono legal information, governance frameworks, policy guidance, and compliance support for initiatives involving emerging technologies and cross-border collaboration. Our services are advisory, educational, and governance-focused, supporting organizations to design and implement systems that are lawful, ethical, transparent, and socially responsible.

What We Do Not Do

BiG does not operate as a commercial law firm. We do not provide fee-based legal services, engage in marketing or lobbying activities, or represent private commercial interests. All work is delivered on a pro bono, non-commercial basis, subject to jurisdictional limits and professional conduct rules.
