Dr. Dipak Kumar Maiti is a distinguished academic leader, engineer, and international innovation advisor with deep expertise in aerospace engineering, applied research, and global innovation ecosystems. He currently serves as Hal Professor of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, one of India’s premier institutions for science, engineering, and advanced research.
Dr. Maiti’s academic and professional career reflects a strong commitment to innovation-led research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology-driven problem-solving aligned with societal and developmental priorities. His work integrates engineering excellence with systems thinking, institutional collaboration, and responsible innovation—bridging research, education, and real-world application across national and international contexts.

In his honorary role as Chair and International Innovation Advisor to Universal Humanity Foundation (UHF) Canada and Universal Global Institute (UGI) Canada, Dr. Maiti provides strategic guidance on global research collaboration, academic–industry engagement, and innovation ecosystem development. His insights strengthen UGI Canada’s role as a non-commercial governance and partnership platform operating under UHF Canada’s humanitarian framework.
