Our Mandate
UHF Global Institute (UGI) Canada serves as the central affiliations, governance, and compliance coordination body for programs, partnerships, and CPD Dual Accredited initiatives delivered within the UHF Global Affiliated Partnership (UGAP™) ecosystem.
UGI Canada’s mandate is to ensure that all collaborative activities across education, professional development, innovation, and humanitarian engagement operate within a structured, ethical, transparent, and internationally aligned framework. This includes governance oversight, quality alignment, and compliance assurance across participating institutions and initiatives.
UGI Canada does not function as a degree-granting institution, licensing authority, or independent regulator. Instead, it operates as a coordination, governance-assurance, and quality-alignment platform, supporting partners in meeting international expectations while respecting each institution’s legal mandate, academic authority, and jurisdictional autonomy.
Through this role, UGI Canada supports universities, academic institutions, NGOs, professional bodies, and mission-aligned organizations by strengthening collaboration, safeguarding institutional integrity, and maintaining consistency, accountability, and ethical standards across all joint initiatives.
Global Affiliations
UGI Canada facilitates international affiliation pathways for institutions seeking to collaborate within a unified humanitarian, educational, and innovation ecosystem grounded in ethical governance, public-interest principles, and global cooperation.
Affiliation within the UGAP™ ecosystem enables partner institutions to:
- Participate in CPD Dual Accredited programs, international congresses, strategic summits, conferences, and innovation labs
• Access governance-aligned frameworks for joint academic, professional, research, or humanitarian initiatives
• Join a global collaboration network focused on ethical AI, humanitarian innovation, digital safety, and sustainable leadership
• Promote and showcase institutional programs, research outputs, and initiatives through UGAP™ platforms, consistent with non-commercial and ethical communication standards
• Engage in cross-border cooperation, shared-impact projects, and initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Affiliation does not transfer academic authority, licensing rights, accreditation powers, or regulatory control. Rather, it establishes a shared governance and collaboration environment that enhances global visibility, ethical alignment, and collective impact, while fully respecting each partner’s legal, academic, and regulatory independence.
CPD Dual Accredited Programs
UGI Canada coordinates and governs CPD Dual Accredited programs designed to meet international continuing professional development standards while supporting ethical leadership, professional competence, and institutional capacity building.
All CPD Dual Accredited programs within the UGAP™ ecosystem are:
- Structured around clearly defined learning objectives, outcomes, and competency expectations
• Delivered through global congresses, strategic summits, leadership conferences, professional forums, and applied skill labs
• Supported by documented participation, reflective learning, assessment, and evaluation mechanisms
• Verified through formal certification, QR-based authentication, and secure digital evidence retention systems
• Designed to meet professional expectations for relevance, transparency, audit readiness, and lifelong learning
UGI Canada ensures that all CPD programs maintain consistency, integrity, and international alignment across delivery partners. CPD recognition, credit allocation, and certification are issued only through approved and recognized partner institutions, in accordance with their respective accreditation standards, professional requirements, and jurisdictional regulations.
Compliance Oversight & Review Process
UGI Canada maintains a structured compliance oversight and review process to ensure that all affiliations, partnerships, and CPD Dual Accredited initiatives within the UGAP™ ecosystem remain aligned with ethical governance principles, international standards, and public-interest objectives.
Governance Oversight Structure
Compliance oversight is coordinated through defined governance mechanisms that include:
- Institutional governance review by UGI Canada’s compliance and quality-assurance functions
- Advisory input from subject-matter experts in governance, ethics, and professional development
- Partner self-attestation and documentation, confirming adherence to agreed standards and scope
UGI Canada does not assume regulatory authority; oversight functions are designed to support alignment, transparency, and quality assurance rather than enforcement.
Review Cycle & Monitoring
Affiliations and CPD Dual Accredited programs are subject to periodic review cycles, which may include:
- Initial due diligence and eligibility assessment prior to affiliation or program approval
- Ongoing monitoring of program delivery, documentation, and learning outcomes
- Scheduled reviews to confirm continued alignment with governance, compliance, and ethical standards
- Event- or program-specific reviews where warranted by scope or risk profile
Reviews are proportionate, risk-informed, and respectful of partner autonomy.
Documentation & Evidence Management
To support accountability and audit readiness, UGI Canada maintains structured documentation practices, including:
- Records of affiliations, partnership agreements, and governance frameworks
- CPD program documentation, learning outcomes, and verification data
- Evidence of participation, certification, and evaluation where applicable
Documentation is retained in accordance with applicable data-protection principles and agreed retention policies.
Continuous Improvement & Corrective Alignment
Where gaps or misalignments are identified, UGI Canada engages partners through a collaborative improvement process, which may include:
- Clarification of expectations and scope
- Guidance on corrective alignment measures
- Updates to governance frameworks or program design
The objective is continuous improvement and integrity preservation, not punitive action.
Transparency & Public-Interest Safeguards
UGI Canada’s compliance oversight is guided by transparency, ethical independence, and public-interest responsibility. All processes respect jurisdictional authority, professional regulations, and the independent mandates of partner institutions.
