Eligibility & Access
The pro bono services of the BiG Clinic Foundation are available only to UGAP™ Licensed Affiliates and UGAP™ CPD DUAL Certified Members operating within the UHF–UGI–UGAP™ ecosystem. This eligibility requirement supports organizational accountability, ethical oversight, and mandate alignment, consistent with public-interest clinic practices.

BiG does not accept general public walk-in requests and retains discretion to decline inquiries that fall outside its mandate.
Intake Screening & Legal Relationship Notice
All inquiries are subject to a preliminary intake screening process. Submission of an inquiry does not create a solicitor-client relationship, retainer, or obligation on the part of BiG Law Clinic Foundation or its volunteer professionals.
BiG provides legal information and governance guidance only, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing and permitted under applicable professional-conduct rules.
Review Process
Each inquiry undergoes a structured review consistent with the Society of British Columbia and nonprofit clinic standards, including:
- Mandate and eligibility assessment
• Scope and capacity review
• Conflict-of-interest screening
• Jurisdictional and competence assessment
Reviews are conducted confidentially and independently. BiG reserves sole discretion in determining whether and how support may be provided.
Possible Outcomes
Following review, BiG may determine one of the following outcomes:
- Acceptance for limited-scope, pro bono legal information or governance support
• Referral to an external legal clinic, organization, or professional resource
• Provision of general resources only, such as public frameworks, toolkits, or educational materials

All services are non-commercial, pro bono, and informational in nature, and are provided in accordance with:
